Today we started preparing fly fying materials for our trout streamers.
First thing we made was cutting zonkers for preffered lenght. For many years we tested many diffferent streamers for trouts, and the best results brought streamer which is about 7 cm long. Different coulours variations are also very important.
Most of our zonkers we tie on #6 Dohiku, Akita or FD hooks. White zonker, or black leech is to one we tie in hundreds of pieces. Also natural (cream, lt.brown) zonkers are effective patterns in certain conditions.
Streamer fishing is very effective method for brown trouts. Most of the time we fish with heavy sinking lines (minimum 3rd sinking class)
